Coaching Agreement

 

As a coach affiliated with Barrens Travel Soccer Club (BTSC), I acknowledge and agree to the following:

 

1. Purpose and Compliance

 

1.1. I understand that the purpose of BTSC is to promote and foster youth soccer, providing competitive opportunities for youth players without discrimination based on race, sex, creed, religion, national origin, or ethnic group.

 

1.2. I agree to abide by all state and local laws, as well as the rules and regulations of BTSC, Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League (CPYSL), and Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA).

 

2. Membership and Responsibilities

 

2.1. I acknowledge that as a coach, I am a member of BTSC and will fulfill my duties in accordance with the BTSC Bylaws and policies.

 

2.2. I will complete and maintain all necessary background checks and clearances as mandated by Pennsylvania law and organizational requirements.

 

3. Coaching Duties

 

3.1. I will prioritize player safety, development, and ethical conduct at all times, adhering to the BTSC Code of Conduct for players, parents, and coaches.

 

3.2. I will comply with all rules and regulations set forth by BTSC, CPYSL, EPYSA, USYSA, and U.S. Soccer governing bodies.

 

3.3. I will ensure that my team participates in tryouts, usually held in the spring, for each season of play, which includes the fall and spring CPYSL soccer seasons.

 

3.4. I acknowledge that I may remove players from games or practices for poor behavior, such as screaming obscenities, lack of sportsmanship, or lack of cooperation, in accordance with club policies.

 

4. Financial Responsibilities

 

4.1. I understand that I am responsible for any fines incurred by my team during the season, resulting from infractions, misconduct, or other violations during league play or sanctioned events.

 

4.2. I will maintain accurate records of team finances, expenditures, and receipts, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial matters.

 

5. Communication and Reporting

 

5.1. I will maintain open communication with BTSC leadership, team members, and parents/guardians regarding team activities, schedules, and any issues that may arise.

 

5.2. As a mandated reporter under Pennsylvania law, I will immediately report any suspected child abuse or neglect to ChildLine at 1-800-932-0313.

 

6. Professional Development

 

6.1. I will pursue ongoing education and coaching certifications to enhance my coaching effectiveness and knowledge, as encouraged by BTSC.

 

7. Amendments and Rules

 

7.1. I acknowledge that the BTSC Bylaws may be amended by majority vote at Executive Board meetings, with proper notice provided to members.

 

7.2. I agree that BTSC operates according to Robert’s Rules of Order for procedural matters not covered by the Bylaws.

 

8. Social Media Guidelines

 

8.1. I will ensure that any use of social media related to BTSC protects player privacy and promotes positive club experiences, adhering to guidelines set by BTSC.

 

9. Acknowledgement

 

9.1. By signing this agreement, I acknowledge that I have read and understood the BTSC Bylaws and agree to comply with all provisions therein.
